Montgomery, Ala. – Square Root Interactive, a Montgomery-based, full-service Web site design and development agency and Ektron ELITE Partner, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shannon Masterson to the role of account executive. Masterson joined the Square Root Interactive team in March 2010.
In her role, she is responsible for client relations, agency communications and project management.
Most recently, she was employed by the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts as a curator of art where her duties included collection research, exhibition management and development, and contributing content to the museum’s Web site which uses Ektron’s CMS400.NET Web content management system.
She also worked for the Cleveland Museum of Art for nearly nine years as an associate director for interpretation.
“I was looking for a new challenge and a way to diversify my skills in a different industry,” Masterson said. “I am fascinated with how technology impacts society. It allows people to not only access information instantly but it really does underscore the idea of globalization.”
The Cleveland, Ohio, native has a bachelor’s degree in art history and a bachelor’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University. She also earned a master’s in art history and museum studies and pursued her doctorate in art history at Case Western Reserve University.
“Our business is growing, and the addition of Shannon to the Square Root Interactive team is a major benefit because she is detail oriented, and an excellent communicator, and our clients expect that,” said Andy Martin, Square Root Interactive co-founder and president. “Shannon’s personal and professional skills will certainly be valued by our clients as she begins her career in the interactive industry.”
