Life at Square Root Interactive
Here at Square Root, I’m in charge of business development and overall quality assurance. And, as president and co-owner, I have the responsibility of setting the goals, pace and the mood at the office. My goal is to create a work environment that is efficient, stimulating and rewarding. This is accomplished through regular management meetings, staff “lunch and learns” and individual reviews. I always encourage staff members to voice new ideas and share feedback, but these meetings create a special occasion for doing just that. I’m a firm believer that a happy and challenged team is a productive team. That’s why I strive to be sure that we select the best people, challenge them and make sure they feel appreciated! It’s also why I’m the first to compliment our team when they’re doing an awesome job.
Life before Square Root Interactive
An information technology professional since 1989, I started long before that learning to program on a Texas Instrument's TI-35. While coding is not my forte (pronounced fort), a true understanding of what it takes to create program functions certainly contributes to a broad base of IT experience. That, coupled with extensive experience as a business analyst and IT project manager, provides the solid basis for my role here at Square Root. Additionally, I have extensive experience in marketing, proposal writing and contract negotiations.
Life beyond Square Root Interactive
I’m a family guy through and through. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my kids and my wife, Kim. The second love of my life is cars - American muscle cars and classic British sports cars to be exact. I recently purchased a Triumph TR6 and am really enjoying getting my hands dirty and driving with the top down…
Education
I have a business degree from Auburn University Montgomery.
