New Social Media Tool Lets Your Voice Be Heard

Social media is all about the two-way conversations. Most of us use these tools everyday to share our thoughts and information to those who have joined our circle. It’s fun to connect with old friends but how can social media make a difference? I can’t think of a better use of social media than to be heard by those individuals who represent me – my city, state and federal representatives. Well, guess what? Microsoft has made the ability to connect with these leaders even easier.

Google Chrome was introduced with the promise of faster page load times than Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox. In a test conducted by PC World in July 2009, of the four main browsers, Chrome had the fastest load time. Google’s latest release averaged 1.699 seconds, with Firefox at 1.762 seconds, Internet Explorer followed with 1.833 seconds and Safari was clocked at 1.964 seconds.

Until recently the primary concern for developers was making sure Web pages and applications loaded properly. Speed was a secondary concern. If I go to a site that is slow loading, I typically don’t go back unless there is no alternative.
