Designer & Social Director

Life at Square Root Interactive

I have been with Square Root Interactive for about four years now and the time has flown by! When I joined the interactive agency, I brought with me extensive knowledge of print design, but if you had asked me to build a Web site I would have just laughed.

My responsibilities include design, CSS and template development, project documentation and, oh yeah, planning and organizing Square Root's social events. Let's just say we have a lot of fun around here.

Life Before Square Root Interactive

Before joining the Square Root team, I spent more than 13 years developing my skills as a professional graphic designer. In that time, I produced work for a wide variety of clients, including spas, churches, builders, banks, advertising agents, golf courses and universities, and I have worked on several national accounts. I am well versed in InDesign, Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Pagemaker, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Fireworks.

Life Beyond Square Root Interactive

When I'm not designing fabulous Web sites for Square Root clients, I really enjoy outdoor adventures, such as camping and whitewater rafting, and spending time with friends, family and my pup – a Miniature Schnauzer that thinks he’s a Rottweiler. I'm also very active in my church, Vaughn Forest Baptist Church. But, whether at work or at play, I love to laugh. My motto is “life is more fun when you can laugh about it.”

Education

I graduated from Auburn University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with emphasis in graphic design.

Professional Development

I currently serve on the AAF-Montgomery board (formally known as Montgomery Advertising Federation) as the club's president and I have also served as its 2007-2008 ADDY® chair.
