Refresh, Grow and Flourish This Spring
If you suffer from "Spring Fever" you’re not alone. Spring is unlike any other season; its powerful and intoxicating qualities can be felt by everyone. While the weather is just now starting to feel like Spring, here at Square Root, we are already enjoying its rejuvenating effects.
As of this writing, our first quarter is shaping up to be our best in four years. This is a refreshing change for us as we, like most companies, have felt the pressure of doing business in a down economy. And this growth in business is causing a domino effect (in a good way) with a new addition to our team, new partners, new services and the possibility of a new home.
Here’s what’s blooming at Square Root.
Our account services team grew in March with the addition of Shannon Masterson. She will handle account executive duties along with Stacy Benefield and Susan Cline.
New business partnerships are also flourishing. I expect to divulge more details in our next Refresh newsletter as these partnerships are solidified.
New services like SEO consulting, secure e-mail solutions and custom database encryption are now ready for prime time. Please note, if the last two items sound “Greek” to you, pass it on to your IT guy and watch his eyes light up.
You may have also noticed our FREE Webinar events. We recently surveyed our Square Root friends to determine topics that are most appealing. The next Webinar event is scheduled for April. Be sure to check your e-mail or follow us on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
Finally, when a plant outgrows its pot it’s time to move to a bigger container. Let’s just say space is tight in our office with 12 team members, so we are planning now for a larger place to call home. I think this is great problem to have.
My check list for growth this Spring season adds up to a busy and productive time here at Square Root with new faces, new partners and a bit of happy stress. But to sum it up, it’s a very exciting time for us. We hope your business will also have the opportunity to refresh, grow and flourish this Spring and throughout the year.

Google Chrome and the Future Posted by Michele Paige
Google Chrome was introduced with the promise of faster page load times than Internet Explorer, Safari and Firefox. An article in USA Today stated that Chrome had more than 30 million users in August 2009 and those users praised the browser for its speed. However, Chrome has not toppled Internet Explorer as the most used Internet browser. It seems speed simply isn’t enough to entice users to switch browsers. [read chrome post]
