Everyone’s Talking About Social Media

The value of social media is an increasingly popular discussion topic. In fact, I attended two “lunch and learns” last week that focused on just that.
- David Allred, a local agency executive, presented “Text2Twitter” to members of the Alabama Council of Association Executives
- Public Relations Council of Alabama members learned about “Social Media for the PR Practitioner” from seasoned PR professional Didi Henry
Social media is far from new when you consider the incredibly fast pace of the interactive industry. Square Root has certainly been exploring it for some time now and touting its value to our own clients. I think what is new is the volume of people that are taking notice. Take Twitter…unique visitors to this popular social site have grown from less than 4 million to more than 23 million in just one year.
