Every project requires a road map

Loading...

Attention to detail is essential to a successful Web site project. That’s why Square Root Interactive begins every project with a plan. The planning process can be quite extensive and the phase in which the client participates most. In fact, some clients wonder why we need so much information just to build a Web site. But trust us…it all comes together in the end.

But how much planning will your project require? The amount of planning needed is usually related to the size, budget and complexity of the Web site project. You may want a turn-key process that includes site audits, usability consultation, site navigation planning, etc. Or, for those on a tighter budget, you may prefer to do these tasks yourself. Either way, SRI can help you move through this process with ease.

Discovery

We kick off each planning phase by meeting with the client to gather information about the company and its target audiences. Everything from company background to audience demographics is covered during this meeting. We also discuss the client's likes and dislikes about site design and functionality elements, any special requirements and the "bells and whistles" that might work for the site.

Organization

We work with the client to organize the company's Web site in a way that makes sense for the client and the Web site visitors.

Documentation

We document all requirements so they are clear and easy to understand by both the client and the project team. We also provide a visual representation of the site map. This documentation continues throughout the phases of the project.

Review

The client has the opportunity to review and adjust the requirements and the site map before we move on to the next phase. This ensures there are no surprises for us or the client as the project progresses.
